Competition Wrap Up - CEESA Robotics Moscow 2015

Audio: The robotics team, the AISB Sparkybots, just got back from the 2015 CEESA Robotics Competition in Moscow, Russia.  Our school brought three teams and competed against 9 schools and 18 teams across CEESA.  While day 1 of the competition had many highs and lows, day 2 proved to be an exciting day where we saw a ton of growth of our team.  All three of our Budapest teams, The Blazerbots, Sparkzillas and The Blazing Nerds advanced in the double elimination tournament day.  The teams built on success and learned from the hard times on the first day.  It was team Blazerbot who were able to help our team advance to the semi-final round.  In an exciting semi-final match against Bucharest the Sparkybots teammates worked together to get the crowd cheering and chanting for our Blazers.  The place was going crazy.  In a blood-pumping semifinal round the Blazerbots executed crucial challenges nearly defeating the tournament champions the Tirana Tigers, but in the end one challenge decided the victory and only by a few points.  In the end, we finished 4th overall in the competition.  We are thankful for having the chance to visit a beautiful host country and for meeting many new people; both competitors and our amazing host families.
